FAQs

ELLIOT™ IoT will automatically email to you all alerts, alarms, and reports from your chiller system as well as 3 dedicated temperature sensors to monitor your product or process.A status report is also issued at whatever intervals you require (annual, monthly, weekly, daily, hourly…) providing an overview of the health and operation of your system.  
 
We won’t promise that a service technician at Pro will monitor your system (but it’s likely), but ELLIOT™ IoT will automatically send notifications when needed and provide a way to check the system anytime you need to- we will also work with you directly to help resolve any issues. 

The ELLIOT™​ Module can be connected to the internet via ethernet cable, WIFI, or via Cellular (cellular charges will be added and applied).

Independent of ELLIOT™ IoT, Pro Refrigeration provides all customers with free telephone, or email, technical support from about 8:00 AM to 8 PM EST (5:00 AM to 5:00 PM PST) with after hour emergency support also available.

Soon we will be introducing ELLIOT™ +, that combines the automated features of ELLIOT™ IoT with the experience and skills of the Pro Refrigeration Technical Team. Stay tuned as we roll out options later this summer.

An Alert is a warning that the system is not operating per specifications. Alerts will hopefully prevent a small issue from becoming large. Generally, the system will still operate while an alert is issued.

An Alarm indicates that a serious fault has occurred, and a portion of the system is potentially disabled.
When an Alert or Alarm notification is sent it out, customer receives an email that includes:

  • Current Chilled Fluid Temperature 
  • Alert/Alarm Description with basic trouble shooting steps
  • The option to request additional support from Pro Service Technician (additional charges may apply).
We will do whatever we can to assist, especially if product is at risk, or the customer considers the situation critical.  Pro has dedicated Service Technicians on call to support customers after hours and on weekends. This support is offered at no cost during the equipment warranty period and on a “cost per call” basis after the system warranty has expired.

If the situation isn’t critical, the customer can also contact the Tech Support Team via telephone or email to receive a response during standard business hours. 8:00 AM (5:00 AM PST) to 8:00 PM (5 PM PST) EST.  This complimentary service is offered for the life of the Pro Chiller System.

ELLIOT​™ incorporates multi authentication protocol, to gain access will require a login email and password. Alerts and Alarm notifications are also emailed to this same login email address. Each subscriber is provided a second user, generally their service partner, who will also be provided access.

Our commitment to providing secure and safe access is evident by the implementation of the latest IoT security protocols throughout the process; from the initial registration of your device through the username and password login with multi factor authentication.

Yes, in fact we are working on some “next level” developments that include Machine Learning with targeted and general data analysis. We feel it is important to launch with an automated system that we could scale up as this exciting new platform grows and additional features and benefits are incorporated. 

Technically yes, in fact, you could add ELLIOT™ to almost any refrigeration system. However, we are still in the process of certifying the remote, field installed, ELLIOT™ IoT Modules. This will be much more cost effective than the process required today to retrofit a system already operating in the field.

Initially, we are factory installing the ELLIOT™ Platform on qualified new systems. (includes all V Series, M5, and M45 Series).

 
If you currently own a Pro Chiller that is outfitted with the TCC Controller, and it’s imperative that you have access and visibility, please reach out to your salesman for additional information and review.

No, the current annual rate of $240 is the only option for a Wifi or Ethernet based subscription. We hope to add additional billing plans in the future. Customers can cancel their subscription (and return hardware), for a pro-rated refund at any time. We can also offer a cellular connection, but additional rates will be applied.
